Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years’ experience with compensation programs and/or analysis.
• Knowledge of federal and state wage and salary laws and regulations.
• Experience with databases for accessing compensation information and job descriptions.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to deadlines.
• Strong technical skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to present to leadership, stakeholders and peers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and recommend job evaluations and salary administration within UMass Chan compensation programs.
• Perform analytical studies in equity, competitive pay practices, incentives and trends.
• Review and approve compensation actions such as promotions, above guideline offers, off-cycle increases.
• Collaborate to review job descriptions, classifications, equity, market data, and salary bands.
• Analyze compensation data to assist managers in meeting organizational needs.
• Educate and train managers on market analysis and MEPA compliance.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support offers and ensure pay equity.
• Run data reports for compensation metrics.
• Perform other duties as required.
