Job summary

Connexion Systems & Engineering is seeking a senior Compensation Specialist to lead enterprise-wide compensation initiatives for a mission-driven organization. You will design programs, align job architecture, conduct market pricing, and collaborate with HR and business leaders.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in compensation, strong data analysis skills, and experience with survey platforms. This position offers a 3+ year contract with a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite) in Bedford, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive compensation experience.
• Strong expertise in compensation program design, job architecture and leveling, salary structure design, market pricing, and compensation analysis.
• Experience leading complex compensation or total rewards projects.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling, and data analysis.
• Experience with major compensation survey platforms such as Radford/AON, Mercer, Pearl Meyer, or TSG.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state compensation regulations.
• Redesign and enhance job architecture, including job families, career levels, title governance, and FLSA classifications.
• Analyze salary grades and compensation band structures using market data.
• Conduct market pricing and internal equity analyses.
• Build financial models to evaluate compensation changes and transition strategies.
• Develop compensation administration guidelines, manager toolkits, and supporting documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to successfully execute compensation initiatives.
• Present recommendations and analytical findings to HR leadership and executive teams.
