Powerhouse Institute Inc. in Washington DC seeks a Senior Commvault Systems Engineer to join the on-site team.

You will provide technical guidance, manage production Commvault environments, and support complex data protection and recovery operations for enterprise workloads. The ideal candidate has 9+ years IT experience, 6+ years in data protection, hands-on with PURE, Oracle Cloud, AWS, GCP, and NetApp targets, and deep VMware/cloud knowledge.

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen and local to DC area.
On-site full-time in Washington DC.
9+ years IT experience.
6+ years data protection experience.
Experience with enterprise data protection and recovery.
Experience with PURE, Oracle Cloud, AWS S3/EC2, GCP, Commvault Metallic, and Microsoft cloud.
Expertise in Commvault data protection software and related targets.
Knowledge of Windows/ESX/Linux/Solaris security.
Strong communication and ability to explain technical topics to varied audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance analyzing data protection policies and success rates.
Daily management of production Commvault systems and components.
Support recovery efforts for Exchange, Windows/Linux/Unix file systems, Oracle and SQL databases.
Plan design and evaluate hardware/software to improve enterprise data protection.
Create and update SOPs and technical documentation.
Work shifts to provide 24/7 support and be on-call.
Travel to multiple data centers as needed.
