Job summary

Contact Government Services, LLC is hiring a Systems Engineer focused on CommVault data protection for the Federal sector. You will design, deploy, and secure backup, recovery, and storage solutions across WAN environments, from single servers to multi-tier architectures.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and reporting within Commvault ecosystems while applying DISA STIGs and federal security requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Commvault data protection application.
• Knowledge of other technologies a plus (LAN, WAN, Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux, SQL database).
• Experience with DISA STIGs and applying to Commvault related systems.
• Perform security related tasks including documentation, vulnerability scans, patch management, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Designed, developed, configured, integrated and secured backup, recovery and storage products over WAN in a complex solution using Commvault.
• Create and maintain optimal backup, restore and redundancy solutions for critical data including VM backups.
• Troubleshoot complex backup and recovery problems across networking, servers, and appliances.
• Provide analytics, usage, capacity planning and reporting within the Commvault management solution.
• Implement regular security updates and patches to backup servers and appliances per federal requirements.
• Collaborate with operations teams to support enterprise infrastructure processes for backup/restore requests.
