Job summary

The City of New Braunfels, TX, seeks an enthusiastic servant leader for Das Rec Community Recreation Center. As part of the Parks and Recreation Department, you will help deliver programs across basketball, pools, fitness areas, and events in a CAPRA-accredited setting.

You’ll manage registrations, greet guests, enforce policies, and coordinate rentals while maintaining safety and clean facilities. The role requires flexibility with hours, a Texas driver’s license, and CPR/AED certification

Qualifications

• Interpreting customer needs and expectations to resolve issues.
• Responding to emergencies using available resources.
• Maintaining cooperative working relationships with staff, guests and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develops, plans, promotes, facilitates, and instructs programs as approved to meet community needs.
• Maintains attendance and class records and reports.
• Answers calls and provides program information in person and by phone; offers courteous customer service.
• Handles minor disciplinary issues per policies.
• Assists in promoting city-wide events and coordinating setup/teardown.
• Manages administrative activities and computer registrations/reservations.
• Facilitates use of Das Rec amenities (basketball, volleyball, pickleball, futsal).
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and reports safety concerns.
