Job summary

The City of New Braunfels, TX is seeking a motivated individual to join the Athletics team. Under supervision, you will assist in program, league, and event services, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety at Parks and Recreation facilities.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of public interaction experience; valid Texas Driver’s License required. Benefits include a retirement match, vacation accrual, longevity pay, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1 year customer service/public interaction experience required; recreation or athletic instruction preferred.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
• CPR/AED certification must be obtained within six months of employment.
• Knowledge of safety laws and customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering high quality athletic programs and leagues.
• Plan, organize, facilitate, and instruct programs per Supervisor approval.
• Act as onsite monitor for outdoor sport leagues and provide scorekeeping materials.
• Provide courteous customer service to facility guests and participants.
• Promote and coordinate city-wide events including setup and teardown.
• Assist in administrative tasks including cash handling and registration systems.
• Manage park amenities such as paddle boats and miniature golf.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment; report safety concerns.
