Job summary

City of New Braunfels seeks an entry-level recreation assistant to help deliver classes, programs and events at the Landa Recreation Center. You will assist with registrations, facility setup, and customer service, supporting a safe and welcoming environment for all ages.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of public-facing experience; a Texas driver's license is a plus. Expect varied hours, including evenings and weekends, in a vibrant municipal setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of customer service/public interaction experience.
• Experience with recreation, nature education or athletic instruction preferred.
• Valid Texas driver's license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering high quality recreation programs and services.
• Plan, organize, facilitate, and instruct recreation classes and events.
• Maintain records and assist with registrations and cash handling.
• Provide friendly customer service to guests and participants.
• Promote city-wide events and support department operations.
