People Acting in Community Together (PACT) in San Jose, CA is seeking a Lead Organizer (Full-Time, Exempt) to build powerful grassroots leaders and lead multi‑institution campaigns rooted in faith and justice. You will mentor organizers, strengthen clergy partnerships, and drive strategic issue campaigns across congregations.

The ideal candidate is relational, strategic, culturally competent, and committed to advancing immigrant, low‑income, and marginalized communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of community organizing experience; Lead Organizer preferred.
• Conversational Spanish proficiency (at least intermediate level).
• Proven ability to train and coach organizers with clear goals and metrics.
• Ability to build and sustain organizing committees and develop leaders.
• Experience designing campaigns rooted in local listening and research.
• Strong relational, cultural competency and cross‑community collaboration.
• Emotional intelligence and self‑awareness; power sharing with a team.
• Excellent time management and multitasking across campaigns.
• Evening and weekend availability as required by community schedules.
• Willingness to work in a multi‑faith, multi‑racial environment with humility.

Responsabilités

• Lead leadership development and base building across congregations and institutions.
• Drive campaigns through listening, research, action and evaluation.
• Coach organizers with regular professional development and 1‑on‑1 guidance.
• Engage clergy and institutional partners; align campaigns with values.
• Manage staff planning, reporting and internal systems updates.
• Participate in statewide trainings and coordinate with partners.
