Job summary

HANA Center, a Chicago-area nonprofit, seeks a Senior Manager of Organizing to lead community leadership development and power-building initiatives. You will align base-building, campaigns, policy, civic engagement, and leadership training with the Executive Director to grow a strong organizing team and movement.

You will supervise staff, build multigenerational leadership, and drive campaigns while coordinating with partners locally and nationally to advance immigrant justice and community

Qualifications

• Commitment to immigrant rights and social justice.
• Ability to lead and develop diverse teams.
• Experience developing campaigns and power-building initiatives.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends.
• Bilingual in Korean is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Organizing Team staff, interns, and fellows.
• Develop organizational strategy with the Organizing team.
• Strengthen membership engagement and base-building.
• Manage organizing practice across campaigns, civic engagement, and communications.
• Support training and leadership development of community organizers.
• Build partnerships with community organizations and coalitions.
• Represent HANA in coalitions, conferences, and with donors.
