Job summary

Rose Associates in New York City is seeking a skilled Community Manager to oversee leasing activity, resident satisfaction, and financial performance across our multifamily portfolio. You will coordinate leasing, inspections, and compliance while partnering with leasing, accounting, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, real estate, or finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of multifamily residential community management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software such as iLuvLeasing, On-Site, Elise AI, RentCafe and Yardi.
• Technical knowledge of building operations and maintenance.
• Understanding of marketing trends, budgeting and reporting including GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee leasing activity, reviewing applications and renewals, and maintaining occupancy targets.
• Lead sales, marketing, and operational initiatives to meet budgeted occupancy goals.
• Maintain competitive marketplace intelligence to guide marketing strategies.
• Supervise Resident Managers and leasing staff, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
• Collaborate with compliance, leasing, and accounting on lease packages for residents.
• Provide guidance, set objectives, and oversee scheduling for staff across the site.
• Recruit, train, and lead a unified team to ensure smooth community operations.
• Enforce policies and ensure compliance with procedures and survey expectations.
• Coordinate vendor contracts and capital improvements with the Resident Manager.
• Be available after-hours for emergencies and operational issues.
• Contribute to operating budgets and monthly variance & utility reports.
• Analyze income/expenses and advise upper management on improvements.
