Job summary

The Arc Prince George's County seeks a Sr. Community Guide to develop community connections for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

You will support person-centered planning, supervision of daily activities, and documentation to promote independence and inclusion in the community. Responsibilities include arranging community-based activities, ensuring safety, and collaborating with families, professionals, and staff to implement plans and provide high-quality on-site and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 1 year of relevant experience.
• High school diploma with 2+ years' experience with adults with ID/DD, including supervisory experience.
• Must be computer literate with excellent oral and written skills.
• Strong communication, dependability, and problem-solving abilities.
• Must have the ability to drive and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain meaningful community connections for individuals with disabilities.
• Support person-centered planning and daily activity implementation.
• Document daily activities and quarterly reports in the EHR system.
• Plan community outings and inclusive recreational activities based on interests.
• Train and supervise staff on person-centered plans and behavior plans.
• Coordinate with families and professionals to promote community inclusion.
