Drexel University seeks a Senior Community Health Worker Practitioner (CHWP) to support the Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice, splitting time between the Community Outreach Team and the Youth Advisory Board. Remote work is available and time will be shared with youth-focused collaborations at community sites in Philadelphia.

This grant-funded role emphasizes outreach, program development, mentorship, and youth leadership to advance trauma recovery and community wellness.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of experience required.
• Pennsylvania Peer Specialist and CHWP Certification required.
• 4 years' experience providing peer services to violently injured people.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person outreach at partner sites and build trusting relationships with youth and community members.
• Identify and participate in at least 1 resource fair or tabling event per month.
• Develop and implement trauma-informed interventions with CYPHER groups and partner sites.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to CHWPs and CNSJ interns.
• Coordinate Youth Advisory Board recruitment, onboarding, and bi‑weekly meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, activities, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with funding requirements and organizational policies.
• Deliver training and onboarding for new CHWPs and interns.
• Serve as liaison between youth members and organizational leadership to incorporate youth voices.
