Job summary

Children's Aid in Bronx, NY is seeking an Education and Employment Specialist (EES) to provide educational and vocational supports to school-age youth and families. The EES collaborates with Program Director, Supervisor, Therapists/Case Planners and engages in YA WORC activities and career planning.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in education or related field, at least one year of experience with children and families, and preferably bilingual Spanish/English.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in education, social work or related field.
• Minimum of one-year experience working with children and families.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
• Obtain and review education and medical records for youth in the home.
• Participate in educational planning meetings (IEP/504, hearings, conferences).
• Advocate for quality educational experiences through school visits and meetings.
• Enroll youth in SYEP and support job placements.
• Document casework and collateral contacts.
