Join Vanguard’s Personal Investor Marketing team as a Senior Communications Strategist where you will play a crucial role in shaping how we connect with clients. You’ll partner with business, creative, and operational teams to set the strategy and implement external communications that engage and drive outcomes. With a deep understanding of target audiences, campaign planning, and the financial landscape, you’ll serve as a central connection point across teams to ensure client touchpoints are crafted and executed flawlessly from conception to measurement. This role:

• Provides consultation to develop external client communications solutions that drive identified outcomes. Translates business strategies and initiatives into messaging and content. Prioritizes communications and messages to maximize impact on target audiences and business outcomes.
• Creates effective and compelling external client communications content based on deep understanding of target audience and the broader operating environment.
• Drives the execution of all phases of the external client communications process, including conception, implementation, and measurement. Leads day-to-day external client communication activities.
• Resolves conflicts over content or external client communication channel recommendations by acting as a trusted advisor to influence, coach, and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Improves end-to-end communication processes by applying current and evolving industry standards, while complying with Vanguard brand. Proactively sources news and stories for broader application.
• Develops and strengthens working relationships with key influencers across the organization and in the industry to support external client communications and business objectives.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes:

• Minimum five years related work experience, two years within Financial Services industry or function preferred.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

This role is part of our hybrid work model with Tuesdays – Thursdays required in our offices to foster collaboration and relationships. On Mondays and Fridays, our crew will have the option to work remotely, or continue working from our offices in Malvern PA.
