Job summary

Trilix is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to shape and lead multichannel programs across digital and traditional media—from public relations planning and media relations to content development, executive media training, crisis communications, and social media management.

You will work across clients and industries, turning complex ideas into clear, compelling messages, manage tight deadlines, and provide strategic counsel that aligns communications with client goals.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of public relations or communications experience and a degree in public relations or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong speaking, writing, and proofreading skills, with familiarity with AP style.
• Independent self-starter who can work independently, manage tight client-driven deadlines, and bring new ideas to the table in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity about new industries and a strong pulse on communications, media, and social trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public relations plans designed to deliver results.
• Build and maintain media relationships and support proactive media outreach.
• Advise clients on crisis communications, corporate communications, and proactive issues management.
• Write compelling client blogs, newsletters, and other copy for digital and traditional channels.
• Advise clients on internal and external communications across a variety of business needs.
• Sharpen executives' presentation and interview skills through media training.
• Develop, plan, and advise on social media content across platforms.
• Manage paid social media efforts and analyze social media performance to inform recommendations.
• Conduct research and analytics to inform product and brand market positioning.
• Take on other public relations and communications projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Public Relations & Media Relations

• PR Strategy: Develop and implement public relations plans designed to deliver results.
• Media Relations: Build and maintain media relationships and support proactive media outreach.
• Crisis & Issues Management: Advise clients on crisis communications, corporate communications, and proactive issues management.

Content & Client Communications

• Content Development: Write compelling client blogs, newsletters, and other copy for digital and traditional channels.
• Communications Counsel: Advise clients on internal and external communications across a variety of business needs.
• Media Training: Sharpen executives' presentation and interview skills through media training.

Social Media

• Social Strategy: Develop, plan, and advise on social media content across Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Paid Social & Analytics: Manage paid social media efforts and analyze social media performance to inform recommendations.

Research & Positioning

• Research & Insights: Conduct research and analytics to inform product and brand market positioning.
• Additional Projects: Take on other public relations and communications projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education & Experience: At least four years of public relations or communications experience and a degree in public relations or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Writing & Editing: Strong speaking, writing, and proofreading skills, with familiarity with AP style.
• Independent Execution: A self-starter who can work independently, manage tight client-driven deadlines, and bring new ideas to the table in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry Awareness: Curiosity about new industries and a strong pulse on communications, media, and social trends.
