Job summary

Substack is looking for a Senior Communications Manager, Shows to lead our audio and video communications and own product storytelling. You will develop integrated initiatives that spotlight our creators and help Substack reach new audiences, working with product, creator partnerships, and editorial.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience developing integrated comms across earned, owned, social, and experiential channels.
• Exceptional writing and editing with sharp editorial instincts.
• Fluency in the creator ecosystem across podcasts, video, and social platforms.
• Deep knowledge of audio and video landscapes (podcasting/YouTube).
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to collaborate with diverse voices on Substack.

Responsibilities

• Lead audio and video storytelling across editorial, social, publicity, events, and creator channels.
• Own product storytelling and education for Substack's audio/video offerings.
• Elevate creators through ongoing stories and campaigns.
• Identify industry opportunities and bring insights to product and storytelling.
• Shape Substack's presence at events like SXSW and podcast festivals.
• Be a visible voice in the creator ecosystem across channels.
