Job summary

Substack in San Francisco or New York City is seeking a Senior Communications Manager, Shows to lead Substack’s audio and video communications. You’ll own messaging from launches to ongoing storytelling, collaborating with product, creator partnerships and editorial to highlight shows and empower creators.

You are a strong writer with deep knowledge of the podcasting and YouTube ecosystems, able to shape editorial strategy, execute campaigns across editorial, social, publicity and events, and

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing integrated communications strategies across earned, owned, social, and experiential channels.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with sharp editorial judgment.
• Fluency in the audio/video creator ecosystem and the ability to engage creators and industry voices.

Responsibilities

• Lead audio and video storytelling across editorial, social, publicity, events, and creator channels to raise awareness of Substack’s audio/video offerings.
• Own product storytelling and education—from launches to ongoing storytelling and creator education—working with product and creator partnerships.
• Elevate creators by building stories about podcasters and video-first creators; develop campaigns across owned and earned channels.
