Job summary

Benchmark Electronics is seeking a seasoned commodity leader to develop and implement sourcing strategies across multiple commodities. You will mentor teams, form strong supplier relationships, and align procurement with business objectives to deliver value.

The role requires deep negotiation experience, contract management, and financial acumen, with responsibility for overseeing large-scale sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives in a 24/7, global operation.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in commodity purchasing or sourcing
• Demonstrate expertise in negotiation and supplier contracts
• Strong financial understanding and risk analysis ability
• Demonstrate leadership and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Mentor buyers and/or supply chain analysts in commodity strategies
• Develop business relationships with key suppliers
• Support customer strategic and tactical material needs
• Develop and manage commodity strategies to support divisional objectives
• Supervise the strategic sourcing process for assigned commodities
• Drive continuous improvements and cost reductions
• Coordinate supplier scorecard activities and business reviews
• Lead negotiations reviewing pricing, terms and delivery
