Job summary

The Kendall Group seeks a Commodity Group Manager to lead procurement for electrical commodities within Kendall Electric. You will guide a team of regional managers, build supplier partnerships, and shape category strategies to optimize price, quality and availability.

You will partner with sales, operations and finance, monitor market trends, and drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and secure long-term value for the company. Travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• 7 years' experience in electrical distribution with commodity management.
• 2 years' experience in people management.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement strategy for electrical commodities and build multi-regional plans.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance for price, quality, and availability.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and operations to align category strategies with business goals.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier relationships and market changes.
• Develop and track KPI's and report quarterly results and trends to team.
• Support sales with product information, pricing, and availability.
• Engage with customers to understand needs and provide solutions.
