Qualifications

• 7 years’ experience in electrical distribution with commodity management including negotiation of copper, aluminum, and steel bulk purchase agreements, pricing contracts, and hedge arrangements
• 2 years’ experience in people management
• Associates degree in related field or related business and industry experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop & execute a multi-regional procurement strategy
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of inventory forecasting and modeling
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel up to 30%

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement strategies for electrical commodities and negotiate terms with suppliers
• Manage and develop a regional team of commodity managers
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to align category strategies with company goals
• Monitor supplier performance, costs, and risk; drive continuous improvement
• Forecast sales trends and ensure adequate inventory levels
• Support the sales team with product information, pricing, and availability
• Engage with customers to understand needs and provide solutions
