Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking an experienced commissioning professional to lead planning and execution of startup activities for capital projects in Phoenix area. You will develop comprehensive commissioning plans, coordinate with the EPCM contractor, and manage turnover processes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with substantial field experience. The position offers a hybrid work model with competitive pay and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent training/experience.
• High School diploma or GED with 15 years progressive field experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement commissioning plans for capital project startups.
• Collaborate with EPCM to obtain pre-commissioning plans for wet/ore startup.
• Review P&IDs and design drawings to understand project areas and systems.
• Understand turnover packages and markup P&IDs/flow sheets for turnover.
• Provide input on TOP structure to EPCM to ensure logical turnover sequence.
• Coordinate scope outside EPCM battery limits for owner-supplied items.
• Work with Construction Managers to align construction sequence with pre-commissioning.
• Develop commissioning schedules, plans, and procedures; conduct punchlist inspections.
• Capture all commissioning activities in project systems and documentation.
• Direct consultants and contractors; perform other duties as required.
