Job summary

Loenbro, LLC in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead end-to-end commissioning for mission-critical data center electrical projects. You will own Level 1–5 commissioning, build scalable programs, and supervise internal staff and third-party agents to ensure safe turnover.

This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of UPS, switchgear, and testing protocols, plus client-facing coordination with engineers, GC's, and vendors across projects; travel may be

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commissioning experience on mission-critical data center electrical systems
• Strong understanding of UPS, switchgear, switchboards, PDUs, transfer schemes, generators, ATS, BESS
• CxA certification preferred; electrical/engineering license a plus
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, construction management or related field
• Experience leading load bank testing, energization sequences, and high-voltage commissioning

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of all commissioning phases (Level 1–5)
• Establish a scalable commissioning program with SOPs, document workflows, templates, and protocols
• Build and lead a commissioning team of internal staff and third-party agents
• Serve as primary client-facing commissioning authority for turnover of electrical and integrated systems
• Develop and execute pre-functional and functional test plans and energization sequences
• Coordinate Load Banking and Energization activities with stakeholders
• Ensure comprehensive commissioning documentation and closeout reports
• Enforce safety protocols and mitigate commissioning risks
• Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned
