Job summary

Engineering Economics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to drive commissioning for data centers and other mission-critical facilities.

You will lead field teams, coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal engineers, and ensure electrical systems are installed, tested, and documented to project requirements. The role requires a strong background in electrical commissioning leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering on complex

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical systems, commissioning, facilities operations, engineering, construction, maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Advanced knowledge of power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, controls, and related electrical equipment.
• Ability to lead electrical commissioning execution, guide technical teams, and support complex project coordination.
• Advanced understanding of MEP systems, controls, and integrated building operations.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, sequences of operation, commissioning plans, trend data, and technical documentation.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, quality assurance, leadership, communication, documentation, and client-facing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and commissioning documentation tools or project software.
• Currently authorized to work in the U.S. full-time without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical commissioning execution for systems supporting mission-critical facilities and data centers.
• Oversee field execution, functional performance testing, integrated testing support, and closeout activities across assigned scopes or projects.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex electrical system issues and drive practical resolution with project stakeholders.
• Align commissioning activities with project scope, schedule, client expectations, and EEI quality standards.
• Communicate project status, technical findings, risks, recommendations, and follow-up needs with clients and project teams.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and prioritization support for Electrical Support, Electrical Specialists, and Sr. Electrical Specialists.
• Help strengthen safe, consistent, and high-quality commissioning practices across the electrical discipline.
