Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead the full commissioning lifecycle for diverse construction projects in Dallas, TX. The role emphasizes planning, startup, testing, and turnover, with a strong focus on quality and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and operations, review plans, manage documentation, and ensure field readiness for startup. Significant travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in commissioning, construction, or related project delivery roles.
• At least 5 years of hands-on commissioning experience (field and engineering oversight).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building systems, including startup and performance verification.
• Experience leading commissioning on commercial or mission-critical projects.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, contracts, and MEP scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead full commissioning lifecycle from planning to turnover and closeout.
• Integrate commissioning schedules with overall project milestones.
• Coordinate with project teams, subs, vendors, and operations.
• Manage commissioning plans, quality standards, testing procedures, and turnover requirements.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and system sequences to support activities.
• Track progress, deficiencies, punch lists, and corrective actions.
• Support startup meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Verify documentation and field readiness prior to startup and energization.
• Maintain equipment databases, testing records, and turnover packages.
• Build strong relationships with clients, engineers, and contractors.
