Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Consultant - Commissioning for its New York office to lead technically complex commissioning assignments for new and existing buildings. You will manage project delivery, provide technical oversight, and maintain strong client relationships to grow the NY commissioning team.

The role covers new, retro-, and ongoing commissioning, energy audits, and building performance testing, with travel up to 10% to support projects and clients in national and international contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
• Five to seven years of experience in building commissioning or related field.
• Working knowledge of commissioning principles and ASHRAE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning for new and existing building projects per ASHRAE guidelines and standards.
• Manage project delivery from design through occupancy, including reviews and testing.
• Coordinate commissioning plans, test procedures, logs, schedules, and final reports.
• Provide technical oversight for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and building systems.
• Collaborate with owners, design teams, contractors, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Lead project meetings, communicate risks, and ensure quality and timeliness.
• Support proposals, client relationships, and business development for NY commissioning.
