Syska Hennessy Group is seeking a performance-driven Commissioning Engineer III - Senior Commissioning Engineer for a role based in Dallas, TX. You will test, optimize, and validate mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities and collaborate with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client personnel.

The position emphasizes testing of large systems, leadership of engineers, and strong communication. A LEED-conscious approach and ASHRAE/PECi Cx familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3.5–8+ years in MEP commissioning.
• Hands-on field testing, validation, and troubleshooting of large systems.
• Understanding of system selection and LEED principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate Commissioning Plans per ASHRAE Guideline O.
• Coordinate functional testing of multi-stack equipment and redundant systems.
• Review criteria, drawings, and submittals for commissioning.
• Lead commissioning efforts with multiple trades and client management.
• Create Operating Procedures and technical instruction materials.
• Oversight of 1–2 engineers on projects for Senior Commissioning Engineer.
