Job summary

An engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Commissioning Field Specialist I to lead commissioning activities, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage project execution. This role involves significant travel (up to 75%) and requires expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, along with strong communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate should be experienced in testing and validating systems, able to work independently within a hybrid setup. Competitive salary and benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls and/or electrical infrastructure.
• Minimum five years’ additional experience with mechanical, controls and/or electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site inspection, validation, functional testing, verification and troubleshooting.
• Direct vendors/contractors in execution of testing.
• Develop commissioning plans and procedures.

Skills

Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and controls system principles

Skilled at using MS Office Suite

Ability to analyze and prepare documents

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to work successfully in a remote environment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline
