Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Commissioning Engineer or Agent II to support commissioning of large mechanical systems in mission critical environments. You will collaborate with design engineers, vendors, contractors and client teams to test, validate and optimize systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
Minimum 18 months field experience in hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of large electrical systems.
Understanding of proper system selection and LEED principles.
Familiarity with ASHRAE, BCxA, PECI Cx/RETRO-Cx is a plus.
EIT/FE required.

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate functional testing of multi-stack equipment and redundant system configurations.
Review criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals and commissioning documentation.
Create clear daily field reports and issue-resolution reports.
Coordinate with management and client teams; own completeness and timeliness of work.
Contribute to commissioning reports and field inspections; support due diligence and feasibility studies.
