Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead commissioning and retro-commissioning for mid-size to large commercial facilities. The role requires strong technical skills in mechanical/HVAC systems, BAS, and controls, plus client-facing communication to manage projects from start to finish.

Applicants should hold a B.S./M.S. in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering and may pursue certifications such as EIT, PE, CEM, or LEED AP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 5+ years commissioning/energy-related experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical/HVAC systems, BAS, and controls.
• Certifications desired (EIT, PE, CEM, CCP, CPMP, BEAP, LEED AP) preferred, Not Required.
• Lead and execute commissioning projects from beginning to close-out.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Support business development activities including networking and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute commissioning projects from beginning to close-out.
• Lead energy audits for existing facilities and develop energy concepts.
• Provide project management for small- to mid-size projects to meet client expectations.
