Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Building Commissioning Engineer with over 5 years of commissioning and energy-related experience. The role involves testing BAS/controls, evaluating HVAC systems, and coordinating with clients and contractors on mid-to-large commercial projects.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering and may have EIT/PE or other certifications. Flexible hybrid work supported by the firm, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 5 years Commissioning / Energy-related experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical/HVAC Systems, BAS, and Controls Systems.
• Certifications desired: EIT, PE, CEM, CCP, CPMP, BEAP, LEED AP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute commissioning projects from beginning to close-out.
• Lead and execute condition assessments and energy audits for existing facilities.
• Support the development of innovative energy concepts for new and existing buildings.
• Provide project management and coordination on small- and medium-sized projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and other project team members.
• Produce summary reports and presentations and deliver them to clients, multidisciplinary project teams, and other relevant parties.
• Support business development activities including networking at industry events, developing, and maintaining client relationships, and preparation of proposals.
