Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer to join our Technical Services team in Bozeman, MT. You will lead commissioning on new and existing buildings to ensure systems perform as designed and optimise energy use.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5 years of commissioning experience, plus strong knowledge of MEP systems and building automation. Travel up to 50% is expected; we offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering program (mechanical, architectural, or electrical).
• 5 years of commissioning experience.
• Applied knowledge of MEP building systems for troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to lead and manage new construction commissioning projects.
• Strong understanding of building automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Suite (Teams, Excel, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients improve efficiency and lower operating costs on new and exciting projects
• Ensuring buildings deliver maximum comfort for the life of the building
• Developing, managing, and coordinating project-specific commissioning plans
• Performing commissioning activities on a variety of building systems
• Verifying building system compliance to engineering specifications
• Reviewing system installation, functional performance, and control systems operations
