Job summary

FST Technical Services invites applications for a Senior Commissioning Project Engineer in Baltimore, MD to lead commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will manage field testing, reports, submittals, and coordination with project teams on complex buildings.

The role requires 7+ years in maintenance/construction or 3+ years in Cx, strong communication, travel willingness, and proficiency with building equipment interconnectivity and BAS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HVACR, mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management or related field.
• 7+ years in maintenance, construction or engineering controls or 3+ years in commissioning (Cx) industry.
• 5+ years coordinating interconnectivity of building equipment (pumps, fans, boilers, BAS, etc.).
• Knowledge of drawings, specs, bid process and related documents.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and execute professional services tasks for equipment in MEP systems.
• Complete office assignments, time and expense management, reports, and notes.
• Conduct in-field installation validation and field observation reports.
• Perform functional performance testing and on-site/factory witness testing.
• Write submittals and evaluate design documentation.
• Lead commissioning (Cx) meetings and assist construction team with issues.
• Mentor staff, coordinate weekly scheduling and documentation practices.
• Support revenue targets and QA by expanding client relationships.
• Travel to and from various job sites within the assigned region.
