Job summary

Dürr Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced site supervisor for electrical installation coordination and project oversight in Michigan/Southfield. The role requires coordinating between PM, engineering, and site leadership to ensure adherence to standards and timely project delivery.

The candidate will manage subcontractors, contribute to safety and quality programs, and provide commissioning support and on-site start-up. Extensive travel (90%) is expected across North America.

• Provide commissioning support, start-up, and debugging of equipment.
• Verify hardwired installation and record baseline data.
• Generate reports and support field operations across projects.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Coordination of the electrical installation
• Coordination between project management, engineering and senior site management
• Ensuring conformity to standards and specifications
• Support processing customer bulletins and field orders
• Manage all subcontractors on site
• Participate in and support all safety and quality programs
• Supervise and monitor site clean-up activities
• Resolution of minor installation coordination and engineering problems
• Issue and monitor contractor punch lists for contract completion
• Participate in start-up and extend support as required
• Organize and attend meetings as required and issue minutes
• Coordinate the documentation required for subcontractor equipment test and handover
• Communicate and provide subcontractor equipment information to commissioning personnel
• Generate change requests as needed
• Conduct site coordination meetings (internal and subcontractors)
• Conduct “pre job” walk through with trade’s council to deal with any demarcation issues
• Provide commissioning for projects and products
• Conduct equipment start-up and debug
• Verify hardwired installation
• Debug controls hardware and software
• Record baseline data
• Mark up drawing changes
• Project performance and data collection
• Generate reports as needed
• Provide standby and customer supportWork as part of a team on major projects or individually on smaller projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent too.
• Solid technical training (master craftsman, technician in the field of electrical installation or comparable)
• Knowledge and experience in the field of electrical production / installation
• Experience in the installation of electrical equipment of machines and plants
• Experience in the installation of power distribution systems and heavy-duty stations
• Experience in installation and measurements of networks (e.g. Ethernet, Profinet)
• Experienced in handling valid EN/US guidelines and standards (e.g. EN60204-1, UL508A, NEC, NFPA)
• Extensive travel required (90%)
• 3+ years of supervisory experience required
• Labor and union relations skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations (30 hour certified)
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
