Job summary

Dürr Systems, LLC in Michigan is seeking a seasoned mechanical design engineer to develop layouts and fabrication drawings for automotive finishing equipment. You will use AutoCAD and related tools to turn concepts into fully defined parts and assemblies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field preferred.
• Five or more years of mechanical design experience.
• Strong AutoCAD 2D and 3D skills.
• Experience developing mechanical layouts and detailed fabrication or installation drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with basic piping design is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations using strong math and geometry skills.
• MicroStation or TriCAD experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with project teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Flexibility to support overtime, weekends, or holidays when project needs require it.
