Placements24 is seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter for an office-based role focused on mining and industrial risks. You will assess, price, and underwrite complex commercial insurance, building strong broker relationships and ensuring profitable portfolio management.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in commercial lines underwriting, ACII/IISA preferred, with strong analytical and negotiation skills. Role requires relocation to Welkom or local presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in commercial lines insurance underwriting with industrial/mining focus.
• Knowledge of property, casualty, and business interruption products.
• Strong risk assessment, pricing, and portfolio management.
• Excellent communication and broker relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Willing to relocate to Welkom or based there.

Responsibilities

• Assess, price, and underwrite commercial risks in mining and industrial sectors.
• Build profitable relationships with brokers and intermediaries.
