Job summary

First American is seeking a Senior Commercial Title Officer to join our Michigan team. You will coordinate the resolution and completion of the commercial title process, underwrite and issue title commitments and policies, and provide guidance on settlement services.

Ideal candidates bring title experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal partners to resolve complex issues across multi-site transactions.

Qualifications

• Title experience preferably within Michigan.
• Strong knowledge of real estate title and settlement processes.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support and authorization for commercial title transactions.
• Underwrite title insurance and review commitments and policies.
• Prepare and review title commitments, endorsements and policies.
• Coordinate and resolve complex title issues through closing.
• Work with internal teams, customers and attorneys to resolve title matters and underwriting issues.
