Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnering with an established renewable energy contractor to recruit a Commercial Solar Project Manager in South Minneapolis. The role leads multiple commercial solar projects from handoff through completion, with office-based duties and occasional site visits.

You’ll manage schedules, budgets, client communications, and field coordination to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in commercial solar, renewable energy, electrical construction, roofing, or commercial construction
• Proven ability to manage complex construction projects from planning through completion
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and project closeout
• Experience working directly with commercial customers and field teams
• Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Availability to work from the South Minneapolis office Monday through Friday and visit project sites as required

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial solar projects from internal handoff through construction, commissioning, and closeout
• Manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, documentation, and financial performance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate internal teams, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Visit project sites to conduct inspections, monitor progress, verify quality, and resolve field‑related issues
• Proactively address project risks, delays, cost concerns, and construction challenges
• Oversee contracts, procurement, change orders, billing milestones, and closeout requirements
• Support the transition of completed projects into ongoing service and maintenance
• Provide clear project updates to leadership and help improve internal processes
