Job summary

Leola Construction is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Project Manager to oversee field crews and subcontractors across active Hillsborough County sites. You will manage the shell sequence for ground-up builds like car washes, storage facilities, and gas stations, ensuring on-time delivery, safety, and quality.

This role requires strong communication, 4 years of construction management experience (or a related degree), and proficiency with CM software.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience as Field Superintendent or Project Manager, or a 4-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Business.
• Experience managing ground-up commercial projects (car washes, storage facilities, gas stations, or similar).
• Hands-on with concrete slab and foundation work, masonry, and structural framing.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors and field crews across multiple commercial sites, ensuring safety and workmanship.
• Own the shell sequence from foundations to structural sign-off on ground-up builds.
• Schedule milestones and coordinate trades to minimize downtime.
• Ensure Florida Code compliance and coordinate inspections with inspectors.
• Walk sites to enforce layout accuracy and quality standards.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients, engineers, and vendors for RFIs and changes.
• Manage material deliveries, inventory, and equipment scheduling.
• Provide accurate project status and field updates to the main office.
