Job summary

Tiello in Charleston, SC is seeking a Roofing Service Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the commercial roofing service department, oversee service crews, coordinate repairs, and ensure safety and quality across projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in commercial roofing with proven leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple service projects. Local travel and a valid driver’s license are required; competitive salary and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial roofing service, repairs or project management.
• Previous leadership experience managing roofing service crews or operations.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, EPDM, BUR, metal).
• Experience coordinating multiple service projects in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of roof inspections, leak detection, preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints and roof plans.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills; customer-focused.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CRM or service-management software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the commercial roofing service department.
• Schedule and coordinate service technicians, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Oversee roof repair, leak investigation, preventive maintenance, and emergency projects.
• Serve as the primary customer contact, ensuring clear communication throughout.
• Review service requests and prioritize work by urgency and needs.
• Coordinate with estimating, project management, and operations teams for seamless execution.
• Monitor schedules, labor productivity, material usage, and profitability.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Ensure work complies with OSHA and safety policies.
• Train and mentor field personnel and promote a positive team culture.
• Develop relationships with building owners, managers, and general contractors.
• Identify opportunities for additional repairs and service agreements.
• Maintain service documentation, work orders, and customer records.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
