Job summary

SouthState Bank, National Association is seeking an experienced commercial lender to develop new business within a metropolitan market and manage a loan and deposit portfolio. The role emphasizes credit analysis, accurate loan packaging, and cross-selling of banking products.

You will work with Treasury Management, Capital Markets, Wealth, and Retail teams, underwriting loan requests and ensuring adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking, or related field is required.
• Minimum 10+ years commercial lending or portfolio management experience.
• Experience should include loan structuring and credit analysis responsibilities.
• Extensive knowledge of bank products, services, and Federal/State lending regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through sales efforts in a South State metropolitan market.
• Manage entry-level loan and deposit portfolio with focus on customer service.
• Underwrite loan requests within bank policies; prepare complete loan packages.
• Price loans and deposits according to current Bank pricing guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and bank procedures.
• Build and maintain relationships with COIs and community to enhance bank image.
