CoolSys in Houston is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to repair, maintain, and overhaul commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment across diverse settings.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial refrigeration, EPA certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. We offer comprehensive benefits, education/training, and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• EPA certification required.
• Trade/vocational or technical school certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Experience with refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with single systems, rack systems, and display cases/walk-in boxes is helpful.
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment to meet customer needs.
• Repair general refrigeration and heating equipment including air conditioning units and related components.
• Perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
• Test malfunctioning systems using electrical/mechanical skills.
• Maintain legible work history records and company documentation.
• Process job tickets and work orders for departmental tasks.
• Assist with picking up, delivering, and installing cases.
• Support startups of new installations and basic construction/remodeling tasks.
• Operate company vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
