Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a service technician to support refrigeration and HVAC installations and repairs across diverse clients. We offer stability, growth, and industry-leading benefits, including ongoing training and a 401(k) match.

You will repair, maintain, and install equipment, travel to sites, and work independently. Required: EPA certification, 5+ years in commercial refrigeration, and a clean driving record; pre-employment background screening applies.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• EPA certification required.
• Trade school certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Experience on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with single systems and rack systems; experience with display cases and walk-in boxes.
• Must have a good driving record and be able to work independently.
• Emergency on-call availability is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and sit/stand for hours.

Responsibilities

• Provides service by repairing and overhauling equipment (compressors, water pumps, air handlers, etc) in a safe, efficient, timely manner.
• Repairs refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment (AC units, condensers, ice machines, pumps, furnaces, motors) safely and timely.
• Performs preventative maintenance by diagnosing malfunctions and deficiencies.
• Tests malfunctioning systems and components with electrical/mechanical methods.
• Maintains legible corporate and personal work history records.
• Processes job tickets and work orders to the appropriate dept promptly.
• Assists with picking up, delivering, and installing cases.
• Performs minor construction/remodeling and startups of new installations.
• Drives the company vehicle safely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
