Job summary
CoolSys in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking an experienced refrigeration technician to repair and overhaul commercial systems, including compressors, pumps, and air handlers, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently for our diverse client base. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, document work history, and support by handling tickets and on-site installations.
A high school diploma or GED and EPA certification are required; 5+ years of refrigeration experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- EPA certification is required.
- Trade/vocational certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Repair and overhaul commercial refrigeration equipment to meet customer needs.
- Repair refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment including display cases and walk-in boxes.
- Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Test malfunctioning systems using electrical and mechanical skills.
- Maintain clear records of work history and tickets.
- Support by picking up, delivering, and installing cases.
- Assist with minor construction and startup of new installations.
- Operate company vehicle safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
