Job summary

Town of Greenwich is seeking a seasoned assessor to lead valuation efforts across commercial, industrial, and residential properties. The role requires evaluating income-producing assets within CT statutes and supervising data collection and reporting under the CAMA system.

The candidate will oversee field inspections, ensure accuracy of valuations, and coordinate with boards and departments. A strong background in real estate appraisal and staff supervision is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 5 years in valuation/appraisal of income-producing property.
• Priority given to General Certified Appraiser (CT), MAI, CAE or equivalent designation.
• Certification as Connecticut Municipal Assessor II within five years. Completion of courses 1A and 1B within two years.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure buildings; conduct permit history research; extract data from detailed plans.
• Oversee CAMA data entry and valuation processes.
• Maintain income/expense reporting for commercial properties per CT statutes; analyze and format data.
