Job summary

The Town of Greenwich is seeking an experienced Assessor with substantial expertise in commercial and residential property valuation. The ideal candidate will perform CAMA-based valuations, oversee data collection, and ensure accurate reporting of income and expenses for commercial properties.

Strong independence and supervisory abilities are required. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Finance/Real Estate/Accounting or related field and at least five years of valuation experience,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 5 years in valuation, appraisal or assessment of income-producing property.
Candidates with CT Certified Municipal Assessor II, MAI, or IA... designation receive priority.
Knowledge of CT statutes governing real estate and personal property assessments.

Responsibilities

Inspection and measurement of buildings; permit history research; data extraction from plans and sales data.
Performs CAMA data entry and valuation oversight.
Maintains reporting of income/expense data for commercial property owners per CT statutes.
Conducts oversight of data collection, valuation methodology and final value conclusions.
Assists with five-year real estate revaluation and contracted revaluation oversight.
