Job summary

Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, in South Jordan, Utah, is seeking a Full-time Portfolio Manager III to lead credit analysis and portfolio management for commercial lending activities.

The role involves overseeing credit workflows, monitoring covenants, tracking maturities, and preparing memos for large loan requests, while maintaining high credit quality in the portfolio. A college degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of similar or related experience.
• A college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee a complex loan portfolio over $92mm in loans outstanding
• Maintain optimal portfolio quality by monitoring and ensuring: Borrowing Base Certificates timely and accurate; lines secured with A/R & inventory assets not overdrawn; financial reporting timely and accurate; loan covenants monitored promptly and accurately; maturing loans tracked and addressed prior to maturity; annual and ADC reviews completed timely and accurately; graded credits have accurate Problem Loan Reports.
• Perform commercial loan underwriting tasks such as analyzing business & personal tax returns and financial statements; identify trends and concerns; work with commercial team and customers to mitigate credit issues
• Assess credit worthiness of individuals, companies, and institutions
• Undertakes risk analysis using regional and industry-specific data; gauge market trends
• Provide informed opinions to bank officers regarding applicants' financial/credit status; suggest loan structures; support lending process
• Communicate clearly with lending teams and customers within one business day
• Adhere to loan policy in underwriting and discussions of loan requests
• Complete preflight memos for new loan requests >$5 million and credit memos for approvals
• Lead projects related to credit administration, policy changes, examiner/auditor recommendations, and process improvements
• Comply with laws and regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, OFAC
• Complete required bank training on schedule
