Job summary

Guaranty Bank and Trust in Texas is seeking a Full-Time Commercial Portfolio Manager to serve as the primary credit and portfolio support partner to a Commercial Loan Officer. You will analyze credit requests, manage an assigned portfolio, and ensure accurate underwriting, monitoring, and regulatory compliance, with a collaborative, relationship-based approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, portfolio management, or commercial banking.
• nCino experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new and existing commercial credit relationships and provide recommendations on structure, terms, covenants, and risk ratings.
• Prepare CAMs for commercial borrowers, including large/complex requests.
• Evaluate borrower and guarantor financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, DSCR, and liquidity.
• Review third-party reports (appraisals, environmental reports, valuations, credit bureau).
• Manage portfolio covenant tracking, annual reviews, and past-due monitoring.
• Perform periodic portfolio reviews based on risk grade and regulatory requirements.
• Identify emerging risks and propose mitigation strategies with loan officers.
• Ensure accurate risk ratings and compliance with loan policy and regulations.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to support timely credit decisions.
• Coordinate with Credit Administration, Loan Ops, Treasury, and Compliance through lifecycle from origination to servicing.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff.
