Job summary

Columbia Bank in Redding, CA is seeking a Commercial Credit Underwriter to manage a $50-$200 million loan portfolio and analyze financial data to determine loan merits. You will partner with the Commercial Relationship Manager as the client contact and present recommendations to Credit Administration.

You will monitor risk, ensure compliance with credit policy and regulatory guidelines, and cross-sell bank products while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of relevant commercial lending experience and/or prior experience as a Commercial Credit Underwriter or Commercial Relationship Manager.
• Strong knowledge of commercial underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management.
• Advanced understanding of credit policy and procedures and ability to risk-rate loans/credits.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and monitor commercial loans within approved lending limits.
• Analyze financial data to determine loan merits and present recommendations to the Commercial Relationship Manager and Credit Administration.
• Manage a large commercial loan portfolio and client relationships; cross-sell bank products.
• Ensure compliance with credit policy, procedures and regulatory guidelines; monitor risk ratings.
• Attend client meetings and act as liaison to Credit Department and internal partners.
• Monitor loan repayments and take action on past-due accounts as needed.
