Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist in Mattoon, IL to analyze and produce commercial loan and CRE loan documents with accuracy and timeliness while minimizing risk.

The role requires strong knowledge of internal policies, regulations, and complex entity structures. The candidate will draft, review, and coordinate loan documents, manage communications with loan officers and processors, and ensure lien perfection through UCC searches, title commitments

Qualifications

• 3+ years banking, clerical or loan processing experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associates preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of internal policies, procedures and relevant laws.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report non-compliance in loan files; analyze regulatory adherence and clear deficiencies.
• Develop understanding of regulatory and policy exceptions.
• Review business entity documents; confirm authorization to borrow and approved signers; ensure proper drafting of resolutions.
