Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist to analyze and ensure accurate documentation for complex commercial and CRE loans in Champaign, IL. The role focuses on timely delivery while minimizing risk and maintaining compliance.

You will review entity structures, ensure resolutions and signers are correct, and coordinate with multiple teams to obtain missing information, supporting loan officers and processors throughout the process.

Qualifications

• 3+ years banking, clerical or loan processing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of internal policies and applicable state and federal laws governing loan documentation.
• Ability to review complex commercial and CRE loan documents and ensure compliance and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report non-compliance to procedures, policies, and regulations in loan files.
• Draft and review loan documents ensuring appropriate authorizations and loan terms.
• Coordinate communication between loan officers, processors and credit administration to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide training for complex loans including entity structures, multi-cross collateralized loans, SBA loans, and trusts.
• Mentor and coach Loan Processors and Specialist, suggesting process improvements.
